Today, the island has become Thailand's second largest tourist destination next to Bangkok. The expanding list of tourist attractions in Koh Samui includes the Choeng Mon village, where upmarket accommodations, restaurants, and bars are located. Another popular travel option is the train. Combination tickets include a rail ride to Phun Phin station and a ferry ride to Samui. This hassle-free option is worth taking since the overnight sleeper is more comfortable than that in the bus although more expensive. Ten trains depart Bangkok's Hualampong Station daily.
